The major promotional project for the Vermont
Campground Association leading into its members’
2022 season has been a new four-color brochure
that is replacing the larger directories that were
printed annually until recently. When the pandem-
ic cancelled camping shows and closed down the
Vermont tourist information centers in 2020, the
production expense and advertising support could
no longer support the conventional guide book for-
mat.
The new brochure, with an attractive cover design,
fits into standard literature display racks and lists
every current member campground, with each
park’s name address, phone number, website URL,
season open dates, a descriptive paragraph of text,
and a representative photo. The directory also in-
cludes a map of the state of Vermont, divided into
its three tourism regions and showing the locations
of member parks, as well as over a dozen photos
of member campgrounds and popular statewide
attractions. It also includes links to the associa-
tion’s website at CampVermont.com, where users
can obtain more information on each member
campground, along with additional vacation plan-
ning resources.
The brochure was designed and printed by Pelland
Advertising and is based upon a similar brochure
that the company produced earlier this year for the
Maryland Association of Campgrounds. In times of
fiscal challenges, it is sometimes necessary to find
newer, more cost-effective ways to meet marketing
objectives, and it is hoped that this new brochure
will be well-received by the camping public and will
drive new business to VCA members.
